Data and Privacy Policy
What's in the case law database, where it comes from, and what happens to the documents you upload.
The Case Law Database
The research chat uses a historical collection of publicly released Supreme Court judgments from 1997 to mid-2022. The collection was not supplied by the Israeli Judiciary, and we do not present it as such.
Judicial decisions are not protected by copyright (Section 6 of the Copyright Act, 2007). The state declared in HCJ 7290/07 that judgments are in the public domain. In HCJ 5870/14, a condition prohibiting databases from allowing judgments to be indexed was struck down.
We have requested access to the Administration of Courts' official decisions feed to add newer case law. Until access is approved, the database does not extend beyond mid-2022.
We do not scrape court websites or run automated tools on them.
Publication Restrictions and Removal
Family and juvenile cases, as well as cases marked as subject to a publication ban, are not displayed.
A subscribing lawyer can view one judgment at a time, with a link to verify it on the official website, and up to 50 full judgments per day. Bulk export of judgments is not available, and the database is not open to indexing.
Found a judgment that is subject to a publication ban or needs to be removed? Email law@brainsto.ai, and we'll address your request immediately.
Documents You Upload
We retain only the text from the documents you upload. Only you can access it, and it is deleted automatically after 30 days, or immediately when you delete the discussion.
To analyse your documents, we send the text for processing to the model providers that power the service: OpenAI, and Google for reading scanned images. This is done through their business APIs, which, under their terms, do not use the submitted content to train models.
The text is not sent to or added to the case law database.
Billing
Payments are processed at lemed.ai, and credit card charges appear under the name lemed.ai. A tax invoice/receipt is sent for every charge.
Professional Responsibility
brainsto law prepares drafts and reviews for lawyers' work; it does not provide legal advice. The lawyer remains responsible for decisions and for reviewing documents before filing. brainsto law is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Israeli Judiciary.
